Since 1987, Ross has been the director of Campus Safety at Willamette University, which now includes the university’s newly acquired Pacific Northwest College of Art. Since 2009, he has served as a member of the Marion County Threat Advisory Team, where his added duties include financial management, planning, and directing training and team-related events, and coordinating travel. He is also the administrative director for John Van Dreal Consulting.

 

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and his Master of Business Management degree from Willamette University. He has also been a Certified Protection Professional by the American Society of Industrial Security since 1997.

Ross has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including his role as board president for Shangri-La Corporation, Willamette Heritage Center, and Rainbow Youth. 

 

When not engaged in his busy professional life, Ross enjoys travel, gardening, and home improvement projects.
